CEO & Designer
Tim founded Steiner Remodel in 2010 after combining his passion for construction with years of hands-on carpentry experience, a certificate in Building Technology, and three years of business management studies at Portland State University. He started the company with a simple goal: to provide homeowners with the quality, craftsmanship, and experience they deserve. Over the past 16 years, Tim has helped homeowners throughout Portland transform kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and entire homes. His unique combination of structural and design knowledge allows him to solve complex challenges while keeping projects focused on his clients' goals. Known for his calm approach, honest communication, and commitment to doing things the right way, Tim remains personally involved throughout every project and believes that lasting relationships are just as important as the finished result.
Project Manager and Estimator
Mike got his start in construction in 2004 in Boston, MA, and has built a career defined by versatility and expertise. With two decades under his belt, he brings specialized skills in tile setting, concrete work, structural framing, and building envelope systems, along with a mastery of both interior and exterior finishes.
His background in custom carpentry and project management lets him approach each project with a well-rounded perspective, ensuring quality and precision at every stage. He's committed to delivering exceptional results, combining technical skill with a deep understanding of what makes each project unique.
Project Manager
Jesse runs Steiner Remodel’s projects in the field, from the first day of demo through the final cleanup. He coordinates our crews and trade partners, keeps the schedule moving, and is the day-to-day point of contact for our clients while their home is under construction. Jesse has been with Steiner Remodel since 2018 and brings 12 years of experience in site development, concrete, framing, building envelope, millworks, interior finish, and fine finish carpentry. He’s known for clear, detailed communication with homeowners. Outside of work, Jesse is an active musician and loves building carpentry projects in his garage shop.
When we first met the owner, Tim, it was clear that he'd be attentive to our needs and fully understood the scope of our project, from an engineering as well as aesthetic perspective. He was the most thorough and timely of all the firms we met with in providing an estimate.
These guys were flexible, friendly, and efficient. They got our project done ahead of schedule and with minimal intrusion, despite having to delay the start of the project to wait for our whole family to recover from Covid!
I could not be happier with the finished job. I love my new bathroom. I have also had a number of house guests since my remodel, and they all love it too.
